Meet Therese Coffey (Owner & Instructor)
Pilates Instructor | Movement Specialist | Sports Therapy Expert I grew up in a sporty household in Ireland, competing in track and field and equestrian events. My passion for helping people move better and recover faster led me to study sports therapy, rehabilitation, and fitness coaching. With over 20 years of experience in the fitness and wellness industry, I hold multiple certifications, including: ✔ Diploma in Sports Therapy Massage ✔ Polestar Pilates Comprehensive Practitioner ✔ Stott Pilates Mat & Special Populations ✔ Certificate in Pilates for Neurological Conditions ✔ Certificate in Myofascial Release Therapy I started my journey in fitness management but soon realized the transformative power of Pilates—both for myself and my clients. It became clear that Pilates isn’t just a workout; it’s a way to restore, strengthen, and reconnect with your body. After relocating to Christchurch in 2014, I embraced New Zealand’s love for movement and the outdoors. When I’m not teaching Pilates, you’ll find me running, swimming, or cheering on my two active teens at rugby, Jiu-Jitsu, or dance competitions. My mission with Bloom Pilates is to create a boutique, welcoming space where people feel supported in their movement journey. Whether you're a seasoned athlete, recovering from an injury, or completely new to Pilates, I'm here to guide you toward feeling stronger, healthier, and more confident in your body.
